General Dentistry

General dentistry can be defined as a seeking to improve the oral health of patients, work towards the prevention of future oral health concerns and help patients with the appearance of their smile.  One of our main goals is prevention, but we can also treat a range of concerns that develop, as well as, types of dental trauma.

Below are all the different general dentistry services we offer.

Digital X-Rays
Extractions
Fillings
Gum Disease
Mouth Guard
Preventative Care
Dental Crowns
Digital X-Rays

X-rays have been used in dentistry for various diagnostic purposes. Some of them are to get a better view of the underlying tissues, whereas some are to get a closer look at details that are invisible to the naked eye. At Hayward Dental Group, our dentists utilize digital X-rays to accurately determine what and how severe your oral condition is and, based on the findings, formulate the most suitable treatment plan to address it.

Extractions

Dental extractions are performed on a severely decayed or damaged tooth that needs to be removed from the mouth entirely. Since the procedure can be painful, we will administer local anesthesia before commencing, as it helps to numb the oral tissues. Extracting the tooth keeps you from experiencing prolonged pain and protects the adjoining teeth and tissues from also getting infected.

Fillings

Dental fillings are primarily used to restore teeth affected by cavities. They are placed in the cavity to restore the tooth's shape and structural integrity and prevent the growth of decay. Although fillings were made from metals in the past, we have recently turned towards tooth-colored biocompatible fillings, owing to all their benefits.

Gum Disease

Periodontitis is a highly invasive gum disease that upsets your overall oral health. It is characterized by upsetting symptoms that affect the gums, teeth, and underlying jawbone as well. Failing to get gum disease treated at its earlier stages can make the condition very severe, making it difficult to treat in its more advanced stages.

Mouth Guard

Night guards are removable appliances that help prevent the wear and tear on your teeth during the night, or any other time of the day.

Dental Crown

Dental crowns are great for so many different reasons; It can be used to address a severely decayed tooth that has recently been repaired with a root canal, a damaged tooth from some type of accident, or if you have a misshaped tooth that you simply want to match your existing teeth. A dental crown can get the job done quickly and inexpensively.

Hopefully, you will never need a dental crown. However, all of us will not be so lucky. There is no need to be worried about a dental crown procedure; it is very common, and widely used today. Crowns are intended to last a very long time with proper dental hygiene. Also, they are made to match your current set of teeth, so it is very likely that your friends and family will not even notice that you have received a dental crown.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is the branch of the dental healthcare field that focuses on treating a wide range of aesthetic flaws and issues.

If you find that your smile needs extra care to shine its brightest, call Hayward Dental Group.

Our cosmetic dentistry experts offer a full range of procedures and cosmetic dental services to help give you a brighter, more beautiful smile just like having natural teeth.

Below are all the different cosmetic dentistry services we offer."

Teeth Whitening
Veneers
Dental Implant
Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a highly recommended cosmetic dental procedure. Though teeth whitening is relatively simple and less time-consuming, it produces excellent results that last for a long time. Over the last few years, technological advances in dentistry have allowed dentists to get their hands on some of the more advanced teeth whitening methods, among which Zoom is the most notable one.

Veneers

Dental veneers are simply ceramic restorations that are bonded to the frontal surface of the teeth. Though they are mainly used to make cosmetic changes to the teeth, they also enhance the functionality of the mouth by covering cracks, chipping, etc. Their convenient and straightforward procedure makes veneers the go-to choice for minor cosmetic dental changes.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a small post, usually made of titanium, that serves as a substitute for the root of the tooth. A connector, known as an abutment, is placed on, or built into, the top of the dental implant, which connects it to the replacement tooth. Finally, a crown, a replacement tooth, is custom fabricated to match your natural teeth, completing the dental implant.

Implant-supported dentures are a great service for patients. Implant-supported dentures are the middle ground between the conventional denture that uses adhesive and the more expensive advanced full-arch dental implants.

Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric dentistry is the speciality of dentistry that focuses on the oral health of young people. We are concerned about your child’s complete dental health. Good oral health is an important part of total health. Establishing our office as your child’s “dental home” provides us with the opportunity to implement preventative dental habits that keep your child free from dental disease. We focus on prevention, early detection, and treatment of dental diseases, and keep current on the latest advances in dentistry for children.

Our Mission

Enjoyable trips to the dental office promote confidence in your child that will last a lifetime. Our mission is to help all children feel good about visiting the dentist and teach them how to care for their teeth. From our special office designs to our communication style, our main focus is what is best for your child!

Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?

A specialist in pediatric dentistry has two to three years training following dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of your child from infancy through the teenage years. Each stage of a child’s life requires different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding them through their dental growth and development, and helping them to avoid future dental problems.

Excellent Training

A pediatric dentist is uniquely trained and qualified to care for your child through each of these stages. Our goal is to “grow beautiful smiles”, and encourage your child to develop positive attitudes toward oral health that will continue throughout adulthood.

Orthodontics

We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as rewarding as possible.
